Mary Alice Reporting – Lovely, a specialized clothing store is close to opening a physical storefront in downtown Uhrichsville.

The new business is primarily online currently until having regular business hours, hopefully by this fall, says owners Betty Quillin and Amanda McDaniel.

The longtime friends, amid their communication, talked about a different clothing concept to simplify a person’s closet, and McDaniel notes that design plans went from there.

“She started sharing things that she was envisioning for a possible boutique and it was spot on with things that I had made notes of. I think [we] knew instantly it was meant to be.”

Quillin explains that the idea is based upon a capsule wardrobe but with a few flare pieces that can be paired with those main staples.

“Versatile easy clothing but we also want to be trendy and stylish as well and for me personally, I would say I have nothing to wear but I had a closet stuffed full of clothes. With a capsule wardrobe, your base is all neutral so all of those pieces mix and match together.”

The overall goal is to help women learn how to shop again for classic, timeless pieces and not impulse purchases.

As more stock comes in, the duo is working to officially open the boutique’s location at the corner of N. Main Street and E. 3rd Street. Additional information about the store and available items can be found at
