Mary Alice Reporting – A reminder is being sent out for the Coshocton County area that sirens will be tested.

The public awareness from the county’s Emergency Management Agency notes that they will conduct monthly tests of their outdoor warning sirens, starting on Wednesday, August 3rd at 10 am.

Coshocton has eight sirens in heavier populated areas where more residents are able to hear the tones, with each having the capability to notify of a possible tornado or fire. These sirens are located at Bakersville, Conesville, Coshocton City, Coshocton City Schools, Canal Lewisville, Pleasant Valley, West Lafayette, and Walhounding Valley Fire stations.

The monthly test will occur on the first Wednesday at 10 am and the tone will sound for one minute.
