Nick McWilliams reporting – The New Philadelphia Health Department will continue their mosquito-curbing efforts Wednesday evening.

According to a release from Environmental Health Director Zachary Phillips, spraying is scheduled in the evening hours on the Southside of the city.

Crews will be out starting at 8:45 p.m., roughly the time mosquitoes are most active this time of year.

In case of inclement weather like rain or high winds, the effort will be delayed to the next clear evening.

As always, those with respiratory issues should proceed with caution and remain indoors during this time if necessary.

More information is available by contacting the health department and their environmental health specialists by dialing (330) 364-4491, ext. 1208.
