Nick McWilliams reporting – The general public can voice their opinions on the new amenities to be featured within the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District.

The Master Plan featured approximately $130 million in projects, with the first phase focusing on infrastructure in campground upgrades and future expansion.

As for the next step, focus will shift to broadening the list of activities and amenities offered by MWCD locations, according to Director of Marketing and Communications Adria Bergeron.

“We’re looking into some of the things that would involve the waterfront. Are we going to add splash pads and water toys, and adding onto some of the things we have. It also is looking into trails and what kind of different trail options people are looking for. Are they wanting biking trails, hiking trails? Just [looking at] other experiences.”

The MWCD goes to hear from camp-goers who visit frequently, as well as those who have never been to a member location.

A survey to offer input can be found at, and residents can also participate in hour-long virtual meetings held on January 12th, 14th, 19th, and 21st from 7 to 8 p.m.

Registration can also be found on the MWCD website.
