Myra Joan Anderson, 82, of Uhrichsville, passed away at her home on Saturday, December 26, 2020. Born January 29, 1938 in Rush Township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Emerson Winfield and Dorothy Irene (Gray) Hutmire. The last of her family’s generation, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Myrna Jackson (her twin) and Sue Seiber.

A Twin City resident for much of her life, Myra had also lived in Texas for a number of years. Locally, she was employed by the former Handy Harmon (now Merit Plastics) in New Philadelphia. She loved adventure, especially white water rafting, and will be remembered for her outgoing, energetic, fun-loving nature. She also enjoyed quilting in her spare time.

Myra will be deeply missed by her surviving family which includes her daughter, Lorie Jackson; sons, Douglas Anderson and Eric Anderson; grandchildren, Darren (Trista) Brokaw and Melissa (Bert) Nichols; great-grandchildren, Dean Nichols and Kelsey Nichols with another expected; brothers-in-law, Buzz Seiber and Dan Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.

According to Myra’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public service. She will be interred in Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH  44663.
