Residents with respiratory conditions are asked to use caution in areas where mosquito spraying has been scheduled.
The New Philadelphia Health Department announced the proactive measure to curb the breeding of the insects with the first spraying set for this evening.
The Tuscora Park and Lagoon areas will be the priority, along with Goshen Street SE and Commercial Avenue SE.
Spraying begins around 8:45pm and anyone with questions or concerns can call the city health department at 330-364-4491 ext. 1208.
