Mary Alice Reporting – All locations of Cleveland Clinic now have updated guidance for those visiting a patient.

The change is now effective, as of Tuesday, inpatients and outpatients will be allowed only one visitor per appointment or procedure and during any stay at the hospital. This one visitor guideline also includes those visiting the emergency department.

Hours for visitation will remain from 7 am to 9 pm, and all visitors must be at least 18 years old, wear a mask at all times, and pass a COVID health screening upon arrival.

Other changes have also been listed for the following appointments:

During prenatal appointments

  • Patients who are COVID-19 positive will be allowed one visitor.
  • Patients who are COVID-19 negative will be allowed two visitors for fetal ultrasounds and one visitor for regular prenatal appointments.

In Labor and Delivery

  • Patients who are COVID-19 positive will be allowed one visitor during labor.
  • Patients who are COVID-19 negative will be allowed two visitors.

In pediatrics

  • Patients who are COVID-19 positive will be allowed one parent or guardian.
  • Patients who are COVID-19 negative will be allowed two parents or guardians.
