~ Mayor Richard Homrighausen was expected to go trial Tuesday but it was delayed again. A status hearing was held Monday, but it was closed doors. This relates to a theft in office charge and derelict of duty. A new trial date has not been announced.

~ Hydrant Flushing in the City of Dover began on Monday. Official say the work will continue through Friday, October 7th at 5pm.

~ Mayor Joel Day noted to New Philadelphia council that ordered equipment arrived and soon, pedestrian crossing flashing lights will be installed at the mid-block cross walk at Allen Lane and South Broadway. The flashers will be similar to the pedestrian lights installed on Wabash Avenue by Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium.

~ Professional actor and living historian Chris Hart will perform at the Tuscarawas County Library on Wednesday. This will be a presentation of Sleepy Hollow Revisited, where the audience will heart the tale from Ichabod Crane’s point of view. This is a free program.
