Mary Alice Reporting – After several years of planning and work, along with recent supply chain issues, the remodeled Tappan Marina is now complete.

The budget of $6 million designated the lower portion of the building for boat and lake services and the top section to the new Water’s Edge restaurant.

Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District Marketing and Communications Director Adria Bergeron says that the marina is now more accessible for those driving and docking boats.

“This project was a long time coming. And we’re really excited about it as a resource for the area for people who are driving by on [U.S.] 250 and can now enjoy eating a meal out on the deck. Or for our dockers who are coming in off the water. To just enjoy this resource we have added in Harrison County and expanding part of what we’re offering here at the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District.”

She adds that, at the end of the project, the total came in just over their marked budget, with the renovation being well worth the investment.
