Nick McWilliams reporting – The Ohio State Highway Patrol New Philadelphia Post is hoping to expand their ranks.

The patrol is hoping to reach men and women who are interested in a career path as a trooper.

Interested prospective candidates will go through a written test and physical assessment, along with other requirements, before being sent to six months of training at OSP’s Training Academy in Columbus.

After two years of service, troopers are eligible to pursue specialized employment in aviation, the Special Response Team, K9, motorcycle unit, and as an instructor.

The patrol adds that they are pursuing motivated individuals looking to make a difference who are Ohio residents from local communities.
