Nick McWilliams reporting – Non-bargaining employees within the city of Dover will see a slight pay bump heading into 2021.

All told, the raises will increase salaries by 2.3 percent, retroactive to January 1st, and will cause increases this year, along with 2022 and 2023.

Initial discussions were shut down by council members following a proposal from Mayor Rick Homrighausen for a 2.75 percent increase.

Those proposed raises were above the rate at which previously negotiated contracts, such as fire and police, received, with the 2.3 percent closer to in-line with those salaries.

The measure passed council unanimously.
