Nick McWilliams reporting – Over $1.3 million has been given out in grants for the past year by the Reeves Foundation.
The grants, which are given as a token of appreciation for community support, have been given out since the foundation was formed in 1966 by businessman Sam Reeves Jr.
To date, nearly $41 million has been given out by the foundation to school districts, libraries, non-profits, safety forces, and others.
The largest awards this cycle went to the Tuscarawas Valley Local School District, who receives over $110,000 for construction of their new auditorium in their new facility that’s under construction, and a similar total for Tuscarawas Central Catholic for a new school bus.
Other top awards went to flooring work for the Quaker Dome in New Philadelphia, weight room equipment for the Tuscarawas County University Foundation, and a tractor and mower for Warwick Township.
