Ruth C. Woodring went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 17, 2021, after an extended battle with cancer. She was born in Coshocton County, Ohio on December 17,1936 to Burt and Lucille Lafferty.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 64 years, Garnie Woodring. Ruth became a long-time resident of Bakersville, Ohio, and spent many years working for Stone Container Corporation. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed shopping, bowling, and camping.
She is survived by her three children, Garnie Woodring Jr., Shirley (Rick) Glazer, David (Beverly) Woodring. Ruth is also survived by her eight grandchildren. Joshua Woodring (Dawn), Krista (Ryan) Thomas, Ginelle Hayhurst (Rodney), Nicole (Ben) Hostetler, Heather (Nathan) McNeil, Ashley (Clint) Stutzman, Katie Woodring (Colten), Cody Woodring (Kelsie). Ruth was also blessed with sixteen great-grandchildren. Ruth is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Ruth is preceded in death by her eight siblings.
To honor Ruth’s wishes, her family will be holding a private family graveside service at Fairview Cemetery in Fresno, Ohio. Officiating the service will be Pastor Mark Britton from the Dover Bible Church.
