Nick McWilliams reporting – Search efforts are still underway for a missing man in the Tuscarawas River.

On Saturday, two individuals were reportedly riding in a canoe near River Hill Road and South St. Clairsville Road when it capsized around 8:30 a.m.

Both men fell from the boat, with a 27-year-old reportedly able to make it to shore, where he dialed 911.

The other man, a 25-year-old, was not seen near the river bank, with the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office, multiple local fire departments, and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources called in.

Search efforts continued throughout the weekend, with some crews remaining near the site where the man was last seen in the water.

No further details have been provided by safety officials.
