Mary Alice Reporting – The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office reported confirmation of a dangerous substance that is rare in southeastern Ohio.

Law enforcement had been alerted to a vape pen that was suspected of containing a flavored nicotine oil and a possible illegal narcotic. The Central Ohio Drug Enforcement laboratory confirmed the vaporized oil was concentrated with methamphetamine.

This mixture can be extremely harmful to a user, who would be in-taking a depressant and stimulant at the same time. It’s also dangerous due to the trained and public eye as the concoction resembles regular oil and is easily concealed.

Vaping has become increasingly popular, especially in the younger generation and young adults, and detectives are urging caution when using any unknown fluids or cartridges that are not purchased through a credible source.
