Nick McWilliams reporting – Starting at the beginning of June, a well-traveled stretch of Stage Route 800 will close for more than two months.

The major rehabilitation project will shutter the state route for at least 75 days to start things.

Ohio Department of Transportation District 11 Public Information Officer Lauren Borell says that work will be from Dover to the Stark and Tuscarawas County line.

“We are going to close the final section of State Route 800. That closure will run just north of Mineral City to SR 183, right there at the crossroads. Full closure of the roadway and that will wrap up that major rehabilitation project that we started last summer.”

The remaining sections of SR 800 will be done in phases so traffic will be barred from the road at different times during the summer for the surface replacement overhaul. The overall completion date by October 31st.
