Nick McWilliams reporting – Live, free concerts will return to Tuscora Park soon, helping celebrate the arrival of summer.

RTY Incorporated will kick off this weekend for 2022, featuring performances starting on Sunday at 7 p.m. with the New Philadelphia Steel Drum and Jazz bands, and the Dominic Greco Band on Monday starting at 7.

Joe Croft, who helps run the Summer Showcase along with his wife Mindy, says that there will be plenty of local flair in 2021.

“We’ve got a number of local entertainers who will be with us this year. Ed Kilpatrick does a great solo show and he’s on the 12th of June. Then we’ve got the Moonlyghters who will be coming in July, and also 8 Track and Carl Drahar coming back with the Elvis show.”

The Christian band Building 429 featuring Jason Roy will be featured on early July, with previous Summer Showcase hits Fleetwood Gold and The Michelle Robinson Band coming in August.

The full schedule will be posted soon at www.rtysummershowcase.com and on the Summer Showcase Facebook page.

Croft reminds residents who might have a hard time making their way back to the concert venue to stop by the RTY office near the tennis courts for a free golf cart shuttle service.
