Mary Alice Reporting – Twenty LoveTusc sculptures are planned for 20 locations in one community to beautify and create cultural tourism.

The Tuscarawas Arts Partnership is the idea maker to bring the sculptures to Tuscarawas County and each art piece will be individually painted, making each one unique.

TAP Executive Director Wilma Mullet says with the artist application period closed, they are currently in the fundraising stage as they apply to grant opportunities.

“We are open to donations from businesses and individuals who also support the project and the nice things about it is we want to be able to make it an opportunity where anyone can feel like they have a piece or part of making this project a reality.”

Online contributions can be done at www.tuscarawasartspartnership.org or call Mullet at 3330-451-6086.

The sculpture will be in the shape of Tuscarawas County with a carved-out heart in the center as the pieces encourage residents and visitors to experience Tuscarawas County’s cultural identity.
