Timothy Luke Beckley, 53, of New Philadelphia, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, after a period of declining health. Born May 11, 1968, in Dennison, he was a son of the late Charles Robert and Carol Sue “Sue” (McGill) Beckley.

Tim was a 1986 graduate of Claymont High School and Buckeye JVS’s Masonry program. Throughout his life, he enjoyed working as a carpenter and had also worked for local factories, including, most recently, Clean Test. In his spare time, he loved woodworking.

He will be missed by his surviving family which includes his son, Steven (Brandi) Beckley; daughter, Christine (Billy) Nicholas; grandchildren, Sky Bower, Brody Bower, Meahlea Beckley, William Nicholas, and Dayvid Nicholas; brothers, Mark (Deborah) Beckley, Danny Beckley, and John (Kimberly) Beckley; many nieces and nephews; and his former spouse, Diana Smith. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda Sue Beckley, and sister, Rebekah Albright, as well as his parents. In addition to his family, Tim leaves behind a close friend, Melvin “Sunshine” Ridgeway, and a dear friend, Leo (Barb) Weinhardt, who was more like a father to him than a friend.

In keeping with Tim’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation. His family plans a celebration of his life for a future date, and this website will be updated with details as soon as they are available. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
