A number of businesses opened Wednesday knowing they are the best of the best.
79 businesses were represented Tuesday night during the Times Reporter’s Reader’s Choice Best of the Best Awards banquet.
Winners were chosen based on how many votes they received from local consumers.
Times Reporter General Manager Paul Reynolds says the paper staff had nothing to do with the results. It all came down to who consumers thought were the best.
He adds that it is a great way to bring thriving businesses together to not only recognize their own success but also the economic success of the county as a whole.
The ceremony honored the top three businesses in 13 categories including clothing, kids and education, and sports.
WTUZ sends a sincere thank you to our listeners for ranking us the top media company in the county.
Also, a “Best Overall” award was given to Dutch Valley Restaurant in Sugarcreek. The restaurant saw more votes than any other business in the county.
