Mary Alice Reporting – Tuscarawas came in 10th in terms of wild turkey hunting season that ran from October to the end of November.
Statewide, from the 70 participating counties, participating hunters checked 1,063 wild turkeys for the fall season.
The 2020 total does represent a one percent decline from average harvest over the past three years, according to the Ohio Division of Wildlife.
The top 10 counties included Ashtabula bagging 52 turkeys followed by Coshocton, Trumbull, Guernsey, Licking, Clermont, Geauga, Gallia, Holmes, and Tuscarawas, which saw 26 wild turkeys harvested.
