Nick McWilliams reporting – Two local law enforcement agents passed through the 146th Basic Peace Officer Class.

A total of 37 graduates were honored recently at a ceremony at the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Training Academy in Columbus.

A total of 20 agencies were represented, including the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office.

Andrew Mossor and Mason Milburn both graduated from the course, which teaches various law enforcement techniques, including firearms training, physical fitness, driving, and other classroom classes.

Milburn earned the top marks in the driving category.

Courses also include criminal law, traffic law, community relations, self-defense, and a long list of others. 

Multiple members of the Canton Police Department also received passing grades, including Zachary Coblentz, Andrew Cook, Jacob Rosen, and Austin Lute.

Lute was the high-mark earner for the physical fitness category.
