Nick McWilliams reporting – With a rough year due to pandemic issues coming to a close, the Dover Public Library will host an event to focus on improving mental and physical health.

Nurse Concierge and Coach Mary Marshall will hold a Zoom event titled Seven Strategies to Safeguard Your Health in 2021 on January 14th at 6:30 p.m.

The talk will dive into various topics, with Marshall noting improvements with the mind and body often go hand in hand.

“Really, they’re not separate. Mental health and physical health really are not separate [because] our mind is part of our body, and our body is connected to our mind, and they both influence each other greatly. So you can’t have one without the other.”

A few highlights of the conversation will relate to using best practices to safeguarding health, suggesting a more plant-based approach to daily meals, stress management lifestyle choices, mindsets and more.

Marshall has served as a registered nurse for 30 years, and educates as a health coach, educator and concierge.

More information on Marshall and her program can be found at www.eat-learn-live.com, and registration can be found at www.doverlibrary.org/register.
