Mary Alice Reporting – A roadway slip in Mill Township is a concern for the engineer’s office, especially since a fix comes with a hefty price tag.
Waterworks Hill Road showed noticeable signs of deterioration in October and has been closed since November.
Tuscarawas County Engineer Joe Bachman says they are working on a resolution, noting that the road slip is a major concern going into 2021.
“I mean, that’s by far the largest slip we’ve ever dealt with. It’s about 1200 feet long and probably approaching $2 million in terms of fixing it, so that’s something that we would be looking at in the immediate future.
Bachman adds they are currently pursuing the use of grant funding for the project; however, no open programs, at this point, have been a strong possibility.
