Nick McWilliams reporting – Tuscarawas County Probate Court Judge Adam Wilgus will appoint an interim mayor for Dover, amid Richard Homrighausen’s suspension.

The Ohio Supreme Court recently issued official notice of the suspension, which was decided by a special commission of three former county judges, who determined current legal accusations against Homrighausen could be a detriment to city residents.

According to a release from the county probate court, Wilgus has appointed a group of Dover residents who will review applicants from interim mayor. They will provide two candidates they feel are most qualified for the role.

Judge Wilgus will hold his own interviews, and make a selection at a later date.

Applicants must be a resident of Dover to be eligible, and must submit a resume and cover letter no later than May 10th at 4 p.m. to the court.
