William T. “Bill” Armstrong, 59, of Uhrichsville, passed away at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Florida on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Born May 27, 1962 in Dennison, he was a son of the late William “Butch” and Pamela (Thompson) Armstrong. He was a 1980 graduate of Claymont High School who worked at Novelis (formerly Aleris) for 26 years. Bill was always willing to help anyone and was known as the handyman of Stillwater. He never met a stranger and was always the life of the party. He enjoyed hunting with his grandson and loved going to all his grandkids sporting events. Bill was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. He recently found a new passion for his Pit Boss Smoker and enjoyed wowing family and friends with his delicious creations. He was truly a one-of-a-kind man.

Bill married his best friend and the love of his life, Christine (Cady) Armstrong, on November 10, 1994. Their love was like no other love, and as Bill would say, “Our home ain’t no castle, our life ain’t no fairytale, but still, you are my queen forever.” The love they had for each other was unmatched.

In addition to Christine, he is survived by their children, Jess (Josh) Riggs, Jeremy (Ashley) Ackerman, Jaymie (Zac) Gardner, Julie (Nate) Downing, Janea’ (Brock) Croy, Jessica (Todd) Dean, Jennifer (Will) Bales, Joshua (Julie) Armstrong, and Jacob (Miranda) Armstrong. He has 16 grandchildren – Cadyn, Brextyn, Linkyn, Jaylyn, Caydee, Rileigh, Rylan, Carsen, Jase, Easton, Arianna, Ariston, Axton, Aliza, Alyssa, and Little Brock – that he thought the world of, and he always held a special place in his heart for his mother-in-law, Betty Cady. He is also survived by his siblings, Jeff (Gina) Armstrong, Tim Armstrong, Brian (Kathleen) Armstrong, Carolyn “Sissy” Armstrong-Dukes, and Carl (Cortney) Armstrong. He has numerous nieces and nephews that he enjoyed spending time with, along with his close family friends, JC and Loretta Pinchek. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; father-in-law, Terry E. Cady; brother-in-law, Tony Dukes; and sister-in-law Libby Armstrong.
