Floyd M. Grewell, 90, of Dover passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 in the Hennis Care Centre at Dover.
Born November 2, 1931 in Newcomerstown, he was a son of the late Daniel R. and Rebecca Wadelin Grewell. Floyd was also preceded in death by his brother, Paul Grewell; and a sister, Marjorie Marquard.
Floyd proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge in Dover, Tadmor Shrine in Akron, along with the Dover VFW, Elks and Moose Clubs. Floyd was an avid shooter and won a national championship in target shooting; he also loved playing a round of golf with his friends.
Floyd is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Sica Grewell whom he married on September 19, 1953; daughters, Brenda Grewell (Steve Kidner) of California, Gail Garbrandt of Zoar, Tammy (Alan Kitchen) of South Carolina; grandchildren, John Marino, Vanessa Marino; and great-grandchild, Miles Marino.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. There will be no services or calling hours.
