The Village of Carrollton and its school district is mourning the loss of a student following a weekend fire and donations are needed.
Fire Department Chief Shane Thomas hosted a press conference Monday to discuss the fatal fire that occurred Saturday night on Andora Road. Aiden McNutt, a Carrollton Exempt School District senior, was unable to escape the blaze.
The cause is attributed to the heating source, a wood burner, and the Ohio State Fire Marshalls Office conducted an investigation but could not determine a specific reason.
The Carrollton School District shared a flyer to support the McNutt Family to drop clothing items off at 771 Courtview Drive, Carrollton, Ohio or to send donations to Huntington Bank at 1045 Trump Road. NW, Carrollton, Ohio 44615 and specify it’s for the McNutt Family Donation Fund.
