Phyllis A. “Ann” Bateman, 77, of New Philadelphia passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022, in the New Dawn Retirement Community.
Born on October 5, 1944, in Jasper, Indiana she was a daughter of the late Arnold and Alberta Crane Ziegler. She was also preceded in death by her children, Sherry and Jeremy Bateman; sister, Carolyn Crane.
Ann was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed being with her grandchildren and devoted 19 years of her life to taking care of her son, Jeremy before his passing in 1994.
She is survived by her son, Mike (Michelle) Bateman of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Zachary (Kristen), Marissa, Deanna, and Dakota; sisters, Cindy Ziegler, and Cathy Gingrich both of Florida; former daughter-in-law, Lynnette Cox of Uhrichsville, and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. There are no services or calling hours.
