Sarah J. (Miller) Troyer, 89, of Sugarcreek passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
Born November 24, 1933, in Holmes County to the late Jacob J. and Ida (Schlabach) Miller. She married Atlee E. Troyer on April 18, 1953. He died on July 10, 2013.
She worked at Alsco for many years and was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Sugarcreek. She enjoyed visiting and spending time with her grandchildren.
Sarah is survived by her children Marilyn (Dave) Perritt of Elyria, Marion (Julie) Troyer of New Philadelphia, and Bob (Amy) Troyer of Sugarcreek; eight grandchildren, Nikki (Rob) Izer, Michael Perritt, Amanda (Stew) Thorburn, Tommy (Casidhe) Troyer, Michelle Troyer, Kristen (John) Sweeney, Jake Troyer, and Katie (Gabe) Elmore; six great grandchildren Kaden and Keegan Perritt, Ethan Izer, Anna Troyer, Colton and Emme Elmore; siblings Susie (Monk) Yoder of Sugarcreek, Ada (Levi) Weaver of Barrs Mills, Abe (Edna, deceased) Miller of Mt. Hope, and Roy (Mary) Miller of Winesburg.
She is preceded in death by her husband Atlee; parents Jacob and Ida Miller; sister and brother-in-law Emery and Arie Weaver; and brother Levi Miller.
A private, family funeral service will be held at Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek with Pastor Earl Rogers officiating. Burial to follow at Union Hill Cemetery in Sugarcreek.
