The Tuscarawas County Fair will run from Monday through Sunday with grandstand events available for everyone.
Fair board member Wendy Shumaker says a big change for the 176th year is opening the Monday through Thursday events at no cost to fair attendees.
“The line up is Monday motocross at 7pm. On Tuesday the Band-O-Rama at 6pm. On Wednesday is the Rafter M Rodeo at 7pm. On Thursday is trucks and treats along with the kiddie tractor pull at 6pm and that goes until 8pm.”
Friday and Saturday will be the truck and tractor pulls starting at 7pm. Sunday, September 27th will end the fair with the demolition derby at 5pm. Both grandstand events require tickets with seating at $14 per person. Tickets can be purchased at kent.edu/tuscpac.
Shumaker adds the cost at the gate went up slightly for the first time in two decades.
“General admission for 3 and up is $10, senior citizens 60 and up is $5, but we do have some discount options available.”
Discount days include Monday being veteran’s day and those with a valid ID can get in free. Wednesday is senior day and at the gate pricing for those 65 and older will be $1. The final discount day is on Thursday, Family Day, which is $5 admission for anyone and $18 unlimited ride pass.
Shumaker notes that for the rides, the pricing is set by the ride company and not the fair, and an unlimited all day pass is $20, with individual tickets available too.
She adds that fairground parking is $5 but free parking and shuttle service is available on Oxford Street.
