Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, in conjunction with the Lieutenant Governor and Department of Development Director, announced funding for commercial drivers.
The tax credit funding was awarded through the new Commercial Driver’s License Training Program, which was created to help with the cost of training for CDL drivers.
$2,500 will go to Fusion Ceramics Inc. in Carroll County and Nicolozakes Trucking & Construction Inc. in Guernsey.
Mast Trucking in Holmes County and The New Bakery Transportation Co LLC in Muskingum both received $25,000.
In Stark County, $7,955.50 will be accepted by Perry Flooring and Design LLC.
For Wayne County, Jarrett Companies was awarded $3,599 while Nonagon Transit LLC received $4,200.
A total of 60 companies across 36 counties were selected to receive a total of more than $800,000. In addition, Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles announced that truck drivers can now renew their CDL online at www.bmv.ohio.gov.
