Mary Alice Reporting –
Saturday the 14th will be an annual fundraiser that supports the United Way of Tuscarawas County.
Brews and Bites will be held at Kent State Tuscarawas, from 3 to 6pm.
President Sarah Spies says that all proceeds raised goes back to the United Way’s annual campaign.
“Things likes our VITA tax clinic, the 211 emergency helpline, Imagination Library, grants too many of our local organizations, and then we also just do things throughout the community.”
Director of Community Engagement Susan Reidenbach adds that it’s a great fundraising event for ticket purchasers since they get to sample local craft beers.
“From seven different local craft breweries’, it’s always a nice event, and this year we’re adding food trucks so with your admission you get your unlimited craft beer tastings, a complimentary tasting glass, and a $5 food voucher to visit the food trucks.”
Tickets are $60 and can be purchased under the event link at www.tuscunitedway.org. Early purchase to ensure enough brewery stock is preferred.
