Betty Lee (Wilson) Fries, 90, passed away on November 11, 2022, at her home in Newcomerstown, OH. Betty was born on April 17, 1932 in Guernsey to the late James O. and Annie (McElhaney) Wilson. Betty was a graduate of Newcomerstown High School class of 1949. Betty was happily married on January 28, 1952 to George Edward Fries, and shared many years together until his passing in 1995.
Betty is survived by her children, Robert (Maria) Fries of Kimbolton, Penny Cathcart of Newcomerstown, and Pamela Fries of Newcomerstown; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her children, Edward Fries, Harold Fries, Patricia Sue Johnson, and Rick Fries.
The service for Betty will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 1 pm at Addy Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Kennedy officiating. Visitation will take place from 11 am to 1 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Earley’s Cemetery in Kimbolton.
