A 1945 graduate of Gnadenhutten High School, Maude devoted her life to her family, beginning with her marriage to William Franklin Jones on August 25, 1946. She enjoyed over 41 years of marriage with him until his passing on February 17, 1988, and they raised two children, Ellen K. Swaney, her loving caregiver with whom she resided, and William W. Jones who preceded her in death. Maude is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Anna Mary Jones; grandsons, William Jones and Scott (Carly) Jones; great-grandchildren, Grace, Kyleigh, Hope, William, and Mya Jones; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Mary Hatcher and Dale Douglass.

Maude will be remembered for her wonderful cooking and baking, as well as her kind thoughtfulness in delivering her homemade creations to family and friends, especially when there was a time of illness or need. She had been a member of Lima
Presbyterian Church and, most recently, a member of Brownsville Christian Church.

According to Maude’s wishes, a private, family graveside service was held at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover where she was interred beside her beloved husband. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brownsville
Christian Church, 32530 Moravian Trail Rd., Tippecanoe, OH 44699.
