Mary Alice Reporting – Residents have a chance to get rid of hazardous waste during a collection event happening this Saturday.
The Tuscarawas County Health Department is partnering with the Stark Tuscarawas Wayne Recycling District to host the event from 9am until 3pm.
Must are a requirement, which can be done online at www.timetorecycle.org/hhw-appointments/.
Accepted items include automotive fluids and car care products, cleaning supplies and other household chemicals, florescent bulbs, a limit of 10 gallons for disel, kerosene, or gasoline, pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides, oil based paint, mercury containing devices, and aerosols.
During the event, at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds, those with an appointment must remain in their vehicle and provide a driver’s license. An affidavit certifying the waste was used and generated for residential purposes must also be signed.
