Nick McWilliams reporting – The closure of Dover Zoar Road in Dover Township officially begins on Thursday.
The closure is just under five miles outside of the city of Dover, at the intersection of Schneider’s Crossing Road and Froman Hill Road.
The Tuscarawas County Engineer’s Office is working on an intersection safety improvement project, and motorists will need to seek an alternative route to bypass the full closure.
Drivers can take Blacksnake Hill Road to avoid the closure, as well as Froman Hill to State Route 800 to Canal Road, and reverse.
Work is expected to wrap up by the beginning of September. Anyone traveling in the area is asked to proceed with caution, slow down for work crews and equipment, and limit all distractions.
