Mary Alice Reporting – Due to a conflict, Robert Everett has resigned from the Dover City School Board of Education.

He was elected back in November but with his recent hiring as the Director of Safety and Security at Buckeye Career Center, he can no longer, legally, serve the Dover district.

Everett’s last day was June 11th. The Board meet in regular session Monday evening and gave Everett the opportunity to address members and the public.

“Everything’s in great hands. I encourage the citizens to continue to support this district the way they have, and they will fill that seat, I’m sure, with someone with somebody very capable. Thanks to all of you for everything. Thanks to the voters and all those who have supported me.”

Everett pointed out that during his time on the board, they made progress by adding a School Resource Officer and adding new staff and administrators.
