Mary Alice Reporting – Recently, the Tuscarawas Valley Local School District has changed how the public can address the school board.

Board members had heard presentations on the topic during a conference held last year.

Board President Dick Gooding says the changes will better organize and facilitate feedback.

“The changes include scheduling two times for public feedback. The first timing is before the board would vote on the agenda items. This would allow all initial public comment to be specifically related to the items begin voted on by the board.”

A second public comment time would be at the end of the meeting to allow for any other matter, recommendations, or concerns. Those speaking will have a three minute time limit.

The next scheduled monthly meeting for the Board of Education is Monday, August 14th.
