Mary Alice Reporting – A township in Tuscarawas County is getting a reimbursement related to sever weather impacts.
The fourth round of funding was announced by the Ohio Emergency Management Agency under the State Disaster Relief Program.
Severe storms occurred last year with damage impacting counties and local communities. Among those who applied for and were granted money was Jefferson Township.
The local entity was awarded $53,345 for the impact of the June 2022 derecho windstorm.
Other areas getting funding assistance was Knox Township, in Holmes County, for just over $2,000 and counties of Noble, Richland, and Knox also received program dollars.
