Nick McWilliams reporting – Few details are available related to a late Thursday car fire with a body recovered.
The initial call came in late Thursday at around 10:24 p.m. from a passing motorist on State Route 250 eastbound for a car fire near a handicap accessible fishing pier.
Fire crews responded to the location past the Tappan Marina, and upon extinguishing the blaze, discovered that a body was inside the vehicle.
The coroner’s office recovered the unidentified individual, and the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District is currently investigating.
