Mary Alice Reporting – JFS To Go is an event going in to its second month that aims to assistance Tuscarawas County residents that may have a transportation barrier.
All area residents, any age range, are invited to come out to the Claymont Senior Center, 633 N. Main Street, on Monday, between 1 and 3pm.
Tracy Wimer, Eligibility Referral Supervisor for Tuscarawas County Job and Family Services, says this event is a way for JFS to go out into the community.
“Be able to answer questions, have folks drop off paperwork if there unable to make in to New Philadelphia to the office, or unable to email it. We are kind of making a presence so they can just come, hand it to us, we offer applications, we can look up your eligibility, you have questions about your case, things like that.”
The first event, in Newcomerstown, had a slow start but Wimer is hoping that with more promotion, more county residents will take advantage of the opportunity.
