An appointment only event will collect household hazardous materials.

Hosted by the Tuscarawas County Health Department and the Stark, Wayne, Tuscarawas Recycling District, crews will be on hand at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds, from 9am to 3pm, on Saturday, August 26th.

Accepted items can include automotive fluids and car care products, cleaning supplies and other household chemicals, fluorescent bulbs, containers of diesel, kerosene or gasoline, which is limited to 10 gallons, and those containers will not be returned. Other acceptable items include oil-based paint, aerosols, as well as pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.

To be part of this event, an appointment must be pre-scheduled, participants must provide a driver’s license, remain in the vehicle at all times, and sign an affidavit certifying that the waste generated was for household or residential purposes.
