Nick McWilliams reporting – The city of Dover welcomed in new members to its legislative body recently, while also receiving commendation from the state level.
The new council-at-large representative is a familiar face to Dover, with former Clerk of Council Julie Leggett taking over for the outgoing Joe Sciarretti.
Leggett received praise from fellow council members, taking the oath of office Monday night.
In a corresponding piece of business, the city appointed Zoie Arnett as the new clerk of council.
Additionally, State Representative Brett Hillyer was in attendance, offering a recognition from the General Assembly for 150 years of operation for the Dover Fire Department, which was accepted by Fire Chief Russ Volkert.
