Charles J. “Charlie” Giumenti, 88, of Roswell passed away at his home on Friday, September 8, 2023.

Born in Roswell on March 8, 1935, he was the son of the late Raymond and Lena C. (Bollini) Giumenti.  He was also preceded in death by his sister; Anita Rice, and brother, Gary Giumenti.

Charlie attended St. Joseph High School. He honorably served our country in the United States Military during the Korean War.  He was a heavy equipment operator during his service and continued operating machines throughout the years.

He worked as a Tuscarawas Sheriff Deputy and retired as the Superintendent of the Tuscarawas County Road and Bridge Department.

In his spare time, Charlie enjoyed drag racing and going to his grandkids sporting events.

He leaves behind his son; Ray (Valerie) Giumenti of Roswell; three grandchildren, Nicole (Dustin), Doug (Misty), and Todd; along with his companion of 30 years, Joyce Smith, and her children; Amy and Matt; and her grandchildren, Maison and Rayce Smith.
