Laurie Ann Kinsey, 59, of Gnadenhutten, passed away on September 14, 2023, at Riverside Manor in Newcomerstown. Born April 5, 1964 in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lester and Mary Kathryn “Katie” (Brisgal) Hamma.

Laurie was a 1982 graduate of Central Catholic High School and Buckeye JVS who lived in Tuscarawas County throughout her life. She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker, and had been a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison.

On May 19, 1984, she married Lorin E. Kinsey who survives her at their home. She is also survived by their son, Broc (Megan) Kinsey, and grandchildren, Easton and Oaklee Kinsey. Laurie leaves behind her brother, Mike (Anne) Hamma; sister, Mary Jo Laughlin; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Billy) Bonanno and Dale Hamma; and many nieces and nephews, as well. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Rick and Rob Hamma; sister, Patty Hamma; parents-in-law, Lorin Kinsey and Barbara and Bob Meredith; and brothers-in-law, Duane and Deanie Kinsey.

In keeping with Laurie’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation. Father Jeff Coning will celebrate the funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 21 at Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery near Dennison. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, 1432 Tall Timber Rd. N.E., New Philadelphia, OH  44663.
