Mary Alice Reporting –

The cheese house has been closed for several years at the Tuscarawas County Fair but was able to reopen for the 173rd event.

The fair board made a commitment to bring this popular vendor back, but work needed done in the space.

Board Member Doug Wills says the closure was related to refrigeration.

“Major amount of money invested in updating equipment, coolers, and bringing everything back up to spec. Insulate and cool the cheese house properly and try to revitalize the fact that we are proud of our heritage of being in the, what I feel, is the capital of cheese world ion Ohio.”
