Gwen Rummell Reporting –

Tuscarawas County Central Dispatch received a call at approximately 6:30pm on Saturday, September 23rd, notifying them of the death of a worker at the fairgrounds.

Upon investigation, a 53-year-old male from Nashport was found deceased in his RV parked in the infield of the fairgrounds by his family.

Detective Captain Adam Fisher says foul play is not expected to be a factor at this time.

“According to the family, there is no known medical history for the deceased male and there was nothing to suggest that any foul play was involved.”

The man’s body will be sent to The Cuyahoga County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy.

Fisher says the next steps of the investigation are dependent on the determined cause of death.
