On Wednesday, shortly before midnight, Tuscarawas County Sheriff Deputies were called to assist the New Philadelphia Police related to a shooting call.
According to reports, this was on the Southside, on Church Avenue. Upon arrival, a Sheriff’s Deputy began live saving measures until EMS took over.
Deputies were able to convey suspect information to New Philadelphia Officers who took a 27-year-old male from Uhrichsville into custody.
Based upon information provided by the Sheriff’s Office, a firearm was located in vegetation near the location where the suspect was apprehended.
