Name and charges have been released for the man involved in a July 4th Shooting.
Tuscarawas County Sheriff Deputies were called to Wainwright Road for concerns of a drunk man shooting at his own home.
Once on scene, that 41-year-old was located in a garage, holding a handgun, explains Sheriff Orvis Campbell.
Joseph Barnhart has since been released from the hospital and is housed in the Tuscarawas County Jail.
The County Prosecutor’s office prepared an initial complaint warrant charging Barnhart with having weapons while under disability, using a weapon while intoxicated, and aggravated menacing.
Bond has been set at $100,000 and a preliminary hearing that could bind the case over to the grand jury for consideration is scheduled for July 16th at 10:15am.
Ohio BC&I counties their investigation to review actions by the local law enforcement office, with Sheriff Campbell standing by the actions of his deputies, who, as a formality been, are on administrative leave.
